After five sessions of round-robin play at the Gangnueng Curling Centre, three teams share top spot in the Olympic mixed doubles rankings, each on four wins and one loss so far.

Norway and the Olympic Athlete from Russia team went all the way to extra ends before they overcame Korea and Finland, while Canada had a six-end 7-2 victory over current world champions Switzerland.

Norway and Finland were tied at 5-5 after six ends in their game and swapped single points in the next two ends to tie again - at 6-6 - after the eighth end, forcing an extra end.

Norway had last stone advantage in this end and, when Kristin Skaslien came to play the last stone of the game, she was facing three Finnish stones already in the house. She delivered a precision hit and stay on one of the Finnish stones and just inside the others to score the one point needed for the 7-6 win.

The Olympic Athlete from Russia team faced hosts Korea in their game in front of an enthusiastic home crowd. This was tight all the way and Korea scored two points in the eighth end to level the game at 5-5 and go onto an extra end.

The Olympic Athlete from Russia team sealed their victory in this end when, first, Anastasia Bryzgalova produced a triple take out, then Aleksandr Krushelnitckii made an open hit to seal victory by 6-5.

Canada scored four points in the second end of their game against Switzerland and controlled from then on. Switzerland gave up single point steals in the fifth and sixth ends, before conceding with Canada ahead by 7-2.

United States opened the scoring in their game against China with two points in the first end. But eventually, China clawed back level with a single point steal in the fifth end for a 3-3 score-line, and two points in the eighth end gave them a 6-4 win.

These results mean that - with two round-robin sessions left to determine the top four teams for Monday's Olympic semi-finals - Canada, Norway and the Olympic Athlete from Russia teams share the lead on four wins and one loss. Switzerland, on three wins and two losses, are currently in the vital fourth place on the table while China and Korea share fifth spot. United States on one win and four losses lie seventh, while Finland are at the foot of the table, still seeking their first win.
